About
I am Ivo Nugent, a BSc Interactive Media graduate from the University of York. My work sits between game development, interactive systems, UX prototyping and visual design.
I am currently looking for graduate, junior or entry-level opportunities in games, interactive media and creative technology.
Background
My strongest university project was Tidal, an award-winning Unreal Engine 5 underwater exploration experience focused on lighting, sound and sensory immersion. It received the Best Aesthetics Award at the University of York Creative Technologies Showcase 2026.
I have also created Flow Blade, a webcam-controlled fruit-slicing game using OpenCV and optical flow, Cargo Balance, a tilt-controlled Android game, along with other UX and web prototypes.
Outside of university projects, I have a strong personal interest in FPS games and underwater game worlds. This has influenced the way I think about movement, player control, atmosphere, level flow and environmental design, especially in projects such as Tidal.
I am interested in roles where I can use my experience with gameplay, interaction design, user testing, prototyping and visual presentation.
